Look Up: Read to Obey

• Bible study (1/3 of group time) Read John 14:15-31, John 15:7-10
   
• Why is obedience essential to following the Spirit and allowing him to work through you?  v. 15, 21, 23.
   
• Read Romans 8:5-6, John 14:27. What does the Spirit give you when he leads you?  What do you experience when you resist his leading? 
   
• We can read the Bible to obey because Jesus in us empowers us to do what we read. How can we study the Bible to obey God’s Word? 
   
• Discuss 3 Thirds Method (Look Back, Look Up, Look Forward). Why is setting Goals and Follow-up important?
